I am definitely a multiple book reader. The bare minimum I am reading at one time is two--one I am reading, and one I am listening to in my car. Right now I am currently reading four and that is about average. Like you, I pick them up, put them down, and comeback to them later. I usually don't forget much of what I read--I seem to be good at remembering the details in books unless I rushed through it for some reason.

I generally like just reading one at a time. I like the feeling of accomplishment when I make it all the way through. That said, if I've stopped reading completely because I've gotten stuck on that book, sometimes I'll pick up another. But then I always go back and finish the first one.

I used to read multiple books at a time, but ever since I started reviewing books I stopped that way I can focus on reading and reviewing one book at a time. The only exception is when I'm reading a school book, because then I'll read that and a book for pleasure.

When it comes to reading I'm pretty much a one-trick pony. I don't like to have more than one book going at a time. The only exception is that I can be reading a physical book, and be in the middle of an audio book as well.
