Absence

My absence has been unplanned. I seem to have no wanting to blog as of the past 2 weeks. My mother was recently diagnosed with Cancer and I am taking it pretty hard. She is my best friend and the rock of my family.  Please forgive me for making Cleverly Inked a second to my emotions. I am working through everything. I am hoping the treatment my mother is receiving works.

I shall return.

Best Wishes,

Oh sweetie I'm so sorry. Like Tynga, my mother had breast cancer a few years ago. She underwent treatment and is now better than ever and cancer free.

It's hard but keep your chin up and keep the faith.

Our thoughts are with you and your mother with hope for her full recovery. My father in law has been battling colon cancer for the past year now, so I understand how emotionally draining it can be for both of you. I look forward to enjoying your posts again once she is well.

I'm sending lots positive energy and healing your way and will keep you and your family in my thoughts. I'm familiar with this battle and know that it seems to drain the energy right out of you. Try to stay positive and we are all here if you need anything.

The "c" word is so scary, but there is so much they can do these days. Stay strong and have hope.

I have a tattoo on my arm that reminds me what to do in tough times. It says "Hope guides me..." and that's what you have to believe in. My father told me that as long as he still had something to fight for (me & my sister) that nothing could keep him down (and two bouts with cancer haven't won yet). I'm sure you're mother feels the same way. We'll still be here when you get back, take all the time you need.

Liz, I am so sorry to hear this. My prayers are with, you, your mom and your family. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1996 and I remember how devastated I felt when she told me - she was my best friend and my rock, it was just a very hard time. She had surgery and treatments and she is currently 15 years cancer-free. I wish that for your mom as well. Tell her to keep her chin up, honestly the positive outlook and a lot of prayers are what got my mom and our family through. Take care of yourself and know lots of people are thinking and praying for you both!
