Weekend Question?

Weekend Question is a fun way to get to know my followers. I enjoy knowing little tidbits of your lives.

Weekend Question?

Do you eat and read?

Does reading certain genre's make you crave certain food?

I don't get much time to read so when I have a open moment my nose is shoved in a book. Whether that be during lunch or breakfast, so be it. (Don't worry I'm not a bathroom reader. Seriously Gross. LOL) When I get really excited about a plot no matter what the genre is I have to eat salty food or cheese sticks. Weird. I guess it's a way for me to get distracted a bit without my mind going into overload. I normally eat food that doesn't leave traces on my fingers or crumbs in the book.

So What about you?

I eat chocolate while reading Harry Potter and that's it. I'll eat very little while reading, 'cause I'm too focused, you know? ^_^ I used to read Harry Potter at the dinner table and took about an hour to finish my (Then cold) food. My parents forbid reading at the table since then.

I sometimes eat and read, when it's lunchtime, but not usually. The only time I really crave something from a particular book is when I read foodie literature.

Never...what if I get crumps or oil on the pages then I would completely freak out. I'm very anal about keeping my books in good condition.

I do eat while reading sometimes but mostly candy. Lol

Sometimes the only chance I get to read is during my lunch break, so I have to multitask!

I love to drink hot tea on rainy days when I'm reading. Other than that I don't think I really crave anything while reading.

When reading on my Kindle DX it is usually at breakfast, lunch or dinner so yes do read and eat... Real books only eat while reading if it is something like breakfast cereal so I know will not get stains or spills on the book as my Tabby cat has a habit of "helping" me at meal times..

I always read while eating breakfast as I'm up before anyone in my family, but I tend to snack while reading at night. I don't however, snack when using my ereader as it gets greasy and that annoys me. So I guess the trick to stay away from snack is to use my ereader more often, eh?

Oh my gosh, I laughed so hard at your "I'm not a bathroom reader" line - too funny! I agree though, anything that doesn't leave grease, crumbs, or anything else on my fingers because I would HATE to get anything on my books!

Good question. I usually don't eat when I read but I do drink. Usually lots of water.

I imagine when I'm a mom I'll be like you and snatch any moment I can.

I've always wished I could eat while reading. There have been so many times I had to put down a great book to eat a meal. But drinking is always on the menu while reading!

Not really. I will take a break and eat, but rarely do the two together. Perhaps I need more skills. :)

I use to do it a whole lot more. I still do at lunch break as much as possible but if I do it too much I sort of start getting the anti-social tag. Breakfast - no way 'cuz SOME people I know consider it terribly rude. Dinner - nah, usually chatting it up with my kids.

New follower - love your blog.

I often eat non-messy things like chocolate (oddly enough, I've been known to chocolate while reading Harry Potter, too, Kirthi!) or candy while reading. Sometimes I sip tea or hot chocolate.

I have a friend whose whole family reads their books at the table while they eat-- now that's a literary family! But my mom would freak out and declare me anti-social... er. :)

I don't eat while reading because I am afraid my books will get messy, but I love to drink coffee while reading. Coffee and books are perfect together!
