Weekend Question?

Weekend Question is a fun way to get to know my followers. I enjoy knowing little tidbits of your lives.

Weekend Question?

With so many hobbies and tons of activities the can easily fill more then one life time, why do you read?

Other hobbies and activities, I do have them. I love crafts, couponing, boating, and anything out doors. The list could go on and on. Let's be real I can't just spend everyday running off to the woods. Life happens and while I would love to spend every waking moment outdoors it's not possible, unless I want to be homeless and poor. Books are ways to escape in the comfort of my own hope. I can pick and topic I could wildly imagine and find a book that would fit my needs perfectly. Books are better then movies because I get to cast the characters, reading vs. movies there are no bad actors.  I could go on forever about why I read let me put it simply, Books are home.

So What about you?

I'm with you. I love the escapism.

I read for a lot of reasons, but the main reason that it's my number one hobby is that I think it's comforting and I like the fact that I am learning about places, people, and society. I have learned so much through the books I read, and I have made some great friends bonding over books. I also am sort of a loner at times, and reading fits right in with the solitariness that I feel I sometimes crave. This was a great question, Liz!

To escape! That's the reason why I don't like books with characters that have issues. lol. :)

I have other hobbies and things I like but books has really become the main one. Escapism is probably the main reason also I love seeing what books are upcoming and anticipating them so I can read them.

Because I can lose myself in a story. :)

Actually I don't have a lot of other hobbies. Even if I had, nothing can beat reading! I love, and agree with what you said - "Books are home".

Books have just been there in every phase of my life and have helped me through some valleys. It is probably one of the last free hobbies too as long as you have a library card.

I do not really have any other hobbies besides blogging if that counts and writing. I love books, being able to escape from the now and go anywhere really apeals to me.

Great question! :)

I definitely agree with everything you said. Reading is such a nice escape and you get to decide how the characters look in your head, and that way you're never disappointed!!

Escape. Yup. Reading is a very cheap vacation that you can take in the comfort of your own home.
