Weekend Question?

Weekend Question is a fun way to get to know my followers. I enjoy knowing little tidbits of your lives.

Weekend Question?

Are you a rereader?

I know many people say life is to short to reread, but I get certain rush from some books and I like to go back every once in a while and reread just to get the same feeling again I had the first time I read it.  LOL.. Books are my drugs.

So What about you?

Usually no.
But with certain books, yes.

GREAT question!

It sounds silly, but I love to reread the Judy Blume books I read when I was little. I still get the same feelings when I read now as I did then. And she's a great inspiration for me, being a ya writer.

Ditto what Juju said. 99% of books, we will never reread. But some of them -- like Robin McKinley's stuff, or the Hunger Games -- we wanted to pick up and start over again just as soon as we'd flipped the last page!

I've always joked that a book worth having is a book worth re-reading. I'm pretty sure that every book I own I've read at least twice.
But then again, I read quickly and tend to run out of things to read constantly, so it just makes sense to reread what I have.
I've even been known to check the same book out of the library multiple times. So I guess I am a really big re-reader.

I am on the NEVER REREAD side. There are so many new books out there just waiting to be discovered-why waste time rereading when you know exactly how the story goes and how it ends??

I want so much to be a rereader, but never seem to have the time, I think in my 5 years of blogging, I have only reread one book, but I am aiming to change that!

Somethimes. Like if I have to give you a percentage it would be 20%. I reread P&P, Emma by Jane Austen and this summer I really want to read them again. I only will reread books if I forget what's it about and I want to write a review for it. Or I will reread books/classics that I really adored reading. ;)

I used to but not so much now. Its just that I always have new books to read so I dont have much time to go back and reread old ones. But there are some books I do want to reread someday.

Yes! I'm too fast of a reader not too. I finish 1 - 3 books a day and what's the point of reading an amazing book if you don't go back and reread them? For the people who say "oh, you already know what happens" but that doesn't stop you from rewatching movies! I <3 rereading :)

Not usually, but with some specific books, yes. Mostly classics, I love reading them again and again (Hello, Pride & Prejudice) - and a few novels that have really touched my heart. The ones you re-read, although you know how it all ends, are the ones that are really important or significant to you - so yes, I'm a RE-READER :)

I re-read a lot. There are just certain books I never get tired of. :)

I'm the same way! There are certain books that I love to reread and get sucked back into that world over and over again! You can see my post *HERE*

Absolutely! It's the main reason I have so many books (I like going back and getting lost in a great read).
I'm even planning on re-reading a few series this summer. :)

Great Question.

I don't normally reread books since my TBR pile is so big. But there are a couple I've put off to the side marked as favourites that I will go back and read again.

No. I usually read my books once only.

20 years ago the answer would have been without a doubt yes I am a re-reader, now though with almost 400 books in the shelves and almost 600 on my Kindle with all the freebies and 99 cent buys there is no time to re-read...

However when I do have time some day there are a few in my book shelves that I am keeping that will be re-read, especially the fever series and Gabaldon's Outlander series...

When I was younger, I reread some books five times a year. Now, I have more money to spend on books and I get a lot through blogging... so unfortunately, not enough time. :( But I can definitely think of a bunch of books I'd love to reread right now, were it not for that tremendous tbr stack!

I don't reread, but I want to all the time! I have a feeling sometime this year I'm going to have a rereading binge, lol.

Books are totally my drugs, too! I reread all the time--I only buy books I know I'll want to read again.

Re-reading is something I never do. Funny, my husband re-reads all the time.
