Ann Aguirre is a national bestselling author with a degree in English Literature; before she began writing full time, she was a clown, a clerk, a voice actress, and a savior of stray kittens, not necessarily in that order. She grew up in a yellow house across from a cornfield, but now she lives in sunny Mexico with her husband, children, two cats, and one very lazy dog. She likes all kinds of books, emo music, action movies and Dr. Who. She writes urban fantasy (the Corine Solomon series), romantic science fiction (the Jax series), apocalyptic paranormal romance (the Ellen Connor books with Carrie Lofty), paranormal romantic suspense (as Ava Gray), and post-apocalyptic dystopian young adult fiction.

Ty Roth

If you're wondering, the "ty" isn't short for anything. I am one of ten immediate family members whose name lengths run in the descending order of their birth: Barbara, Thomas (parents), Kevin, Lori, Amy, Ty, J, Aaron, Troy, and Yon. If you've done your math, the babies kept coming and my folks had to start back at the top. Those of us who have remained local still get together at least once a week to eat, to catch up, to tease, and to just stay a family.

It's impossible to pinpoint the moment I considered myself a writer. It's more poetic for me to believe that writing was something encoded into my DNA from the moment I first existed, that it hid quietly in my bloodstream and waited patiently for me to learn my ABC's so it could strike

I like that Laruen Destefano says she is "all grown up (for the most part)" - LOL, I feel the same way.

I love the character drawings that Ann has in her page for the Enclave series. :D

I've read only Ann's first book in her adult series and am now interested in her first YA debut, Enclave.

The fact that Ty's three sons all have a T name is interesting, lol. (I would probably do the same with my kids ;)

And as you Lauren, I know writing is a blessing and a curse but I hope to be half successful as you have been in your writing career.

Ann - I love her Bio, the list of things she did before writing full time. Also, I follow her on Twitter and love reading her Tweets. She cracks me up!!

Ty - I VERY much want to read So Shelly! I thought it was really interesting that his parents named their kids with a certain number of letters in their names according to birth order. I've never really heard of anyone doing that and thought it was unique!

Lauren - I thought her blog was cute. Her bio made me laugh - the part about "sympathetic tax collector" especially. I can also relate to screaming obscenities at my Nintendo DS....and various other video games.

I like that Ann grew up in a yellow house. I've always wanted to live in a cool funky colored house.

I like that Ty blogged about being nervous at a book signing which reminds me of the times I'm at a book store and feel really bad for the author just sitting there twiddling his/her thumbs.

I like that Lauren screams at her Nintendo which reminds me of the times back in the day when Dr. Mario was huge at my house ugh I feel old and my parents would take over and hog that game lol

This was fun reading about the authors :)

Ann certainly has worked at some interesting jobs over the years...and I would have bet that "Ty" was short for something else!

+1 Ann--Personally, I like the fact that Ann writes as Ava Gray and Ellen Connor, which I just noticed is posted here, too. I want pen names, too. :) I also appreciate her loves of animals (I'm a dog rescuer...that cats just don't find me like the dogs do!) Oh, and she likes emo music. I'm pretty sure that Ann and I should do lunch...and rescue animals...while listening to emo music. :)

+1 Lauren I loved the sympathetic tax collector bit...classic! :)

Ann: I LOVE the design of the entry page--too cool! The YA and Sci-Fi/Fantasy pages go nicely with the main page, and I love the cover of Enclave.

Ty: The four pics in his header are awesome. I especially love the cross in the water with the moon behind it. Gorgeous!

Lauren: The flowers (are those cherry blossoms) just feel right. And of course, you know I like the white background. :-)

Have a great day, Liz!

I love Ann's design! It fits Enclave very well, I think. :) I love the font at Ty's website - I do believe that it's called Angelic War. I think I have it myself ... And I like that Lauren provided a quotes page! :D

Ann Aguirre: Wow. Her website is freaking awesome. I really like how she separated her novels by genre, so readers could check her website out easier. And the background image? I LOVE IT.

Ty Roth: The website is short and simple. The design is very exquisite. The colors are the loveliest blend of it all. And her book cover is beautiful!

Lauren DeStefano: I enjoyed reading her bio, and I freaking love her book covers. It goes really well with the website, which is neat...I seriously love the book cover. It's amazing.

Ann's site - I loved her welcome page! It gives you a dark, creepy feeling. The background looks like some kind of a demon world. Loved it! And yay for liking Doctor Who! I love Doctor Who too.

Ty's site - I love the banner! His site is "So Shelly"! The colors of his site matches the cover of So Shelly. Nice! "I don't believe that anyone ever graduates from high school, not really. In our minds, we forever walk the halls of our alma mater, and our teenage ghost haunts us wherever we go." Totally agreed to this! I missed being a high school student again.

Lauren's site - I loved her photo. She looks very young! Oh my Goodness! Her 'Contact' page is freaking hilarious! I love her sense of humor! Slacking Ninjas LMAO! XD I have read Wither and i loved loved it!
