Synopsis
In the Society, Officials decide. Who you love. Where you work. When you die.
Cassia has always trusted their choices. It’s hardly any price to pay for a long life, the perfect job, the ideal mate. So when her best friend appears on the Matching screen, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is the one… until she sees another face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black. Now Cassia is faced with impossible choices: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she’s known and a path no one else has ever dared follow — between perfection and passion
My Review
I am swimming in a pool of originality that Allie Condie has blessed us with in her writing this wonderful book, Matched. I was bound to this book. Cassia was a blessing to the heroine world. She showed how to be a strong and intelligent female character.
Who knew love could be manufactured? Or couldn't it? Your heart and soul will ache for a sequel of Matched. Cassia can't go wrong with Xander or Ky. Again another praise for Allie Condie for writing characters who are both, worthy of female attention. It's refreshing that there is no male negativity towards a female character. I normally like to go on and on about a book I have enjoyed from the first page to the last, But I am going to stop and shout for you to get up off your butt and head to the bookstore and grab yourself a copy of Matched. After all you can't borrow mine. Sorry, but this is a re-reader!

On a small note.. Matched will THANKFULLY be a trilogy!

I am dying to read this. I can't believe I haven't yet! :-)
I love the cover. And the concept. I can imagine in my youth that I'd have thought that authority figures were a lot like "The Society."
Yay for Matched! So glad you enjoyed it :D

It looks like it'll be an interesting (and adventurous) trilogy. I'm not normally one for Dystopian books, but this one has been getting some good reviews... I suppose I'll have to check it out!
I always admire writers who can do trilogies. It takes such a lot of work to keep the freshness and pace. Good luck. Enjoyed my visit.
It's great when you love a book that much! Hope you get the sequel soon!
