Weekend Question

Weekend Question is a fun way to get to know my followers. I enjoy knowing little tidbits of your lives.

Weekend Question?

Do you judge a book by it's cover? If so which is your favorite?

As much as I don't ever want to admit this, I do judge a book by it's cover.  It can also be sort of a good thing. I will pick up a book that is strange ( you know the cheesy looking ones) looking to me. Of course I read the synopsis and there has been tons of times I have boughten the paper treasure. It all has to do with the cover. A lot of books shock me with fabulous reads.

When a cover is good, I squeal because the cover is going to get me to give it a good chance. The hard part is seeing a bad cover and still giving it a chance. So yeah, I'm totally guilty of judging by the cover.

Recent fav: Halo :)

Yes, yes I do :)

I have to admit, any cover by Daniel Dos Santos gets my attention. The only reason I read Gini Koch's 'Touched by an Alien' is because Dan Dos Santos made the cover... and I'm so glad I gave it a read, because it's now a favourite book of mine!

Yes, I shamefully judge books by their covers sometimes. But doesn't everybody?

I definitely judge a book by its cover, too. How else is it going to catch my eye?

I'm such a cover whore...I hate to admit it, but I truly am. I don't know that I could pick a singular favourite, but I really love Across the Universe, and Born at Midnight :)

I judge by cover- it has to appeal to me in some way- usually with a leading female on it or a female male duo in romance. but i also like some of the art on childrens books like harry potter.

I hate to admit that I do also judge a book by it's cover. Only books though, not people! Covers, in most cases, reflect what a book is about. If it's attractive, I think that the story will be attractive as well. Don't worry, I read the book synopsis too, but the book cover is the deciding factor.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who judges covers ^_^

Oh for sure....most times a cover will trick me into reading its salty goodness....I think one of my favorite covers is Wicked Lovely...

Yes I do. If the cover catches my eye I'm more likely to pick it up in the library or bookstore and read the synopsis.

Absolutely! If the cover isn't any good, it doesn't draw me in to read the synopsis on the back....

Yep. I do. If the cover doesn't look good I won't pick it up because it tells me that the book is just as crappy as the cover.

The cover attracts me and draws me in but do not judge the book by it rather than the synopsis, if that does not sound good or have not read the author before will not get the book no matter how pretty the cover.. One can truly say I love is "Paranormalcy" by Kiersten White, for some reason it really appeals to me a lot and since got it to read because of all the wonderful reviews hope it is a good a story as it is pretty cover!

My Mailbox this week is full of my YA finds and a couple of winnings from blog contests if you want to come check it out!

Count me in as a judge by cover person :)
I have been known to search for a particular cover, when there is more than one edition!
