Synopsis
But Florence doesn't expect the ghost of her cousin Sophia, who haunts the cavernous rooms and dimly lit hallways of Crutchfield and concocts a plan to use Florence to help her achieve her murderous goals. Will Florence be able to convince the others in the household of the imminent danger and stop Sophia before it's too late?
My Review
Spooky! I can say that 9-12 is a good age range for this book. I can't see it giving nightmares by all means but it will give a good spook. Sophia is a ghost to reckon with. She is making a stance for what she wants and will not be rid of easily. James is a wimpy kid who was dealt some bad cards. I was glad to see that he was able to build up enough courage to do what was necessary. For being a younger age range book I was really impressed, with how short the book was you felt as though you knew the characters.
I was glad to have gotten the chance to read this one. I plan on adding this one to my sons book box. So if you know any young readers or are a young reader this is a great read!

Awesome review! I recently read it and loved it. :)
I've been interested about this one, so thanks for the review :)
I dont mind to read a middle grade. It sounds cute =)
Love me some ghost tales. Glad you reviewed it because I probably would doubt the spook factor based on the age range.
thank you for this one, my daughter is 9 and really enjoys being spooked.
sounds like a good book for younger readers!
sounds great!! love this author, too!
sounds like a fun read! :D
Would this be a good book for a 3rd grade (9-yr-old) boy or is better suited to a girl?
You won the giveaway for The Secret Life of Bees on my blog, A Reader's Journal. I need you to email me your address so I can give it to Penguin books who will send your book.

The cover is a bit scary and I don't read too many ghost stories but I just might try this one.
Enjoyed the post! The cover drew me in right off the bat, but from the sound of it...the story would too! You have to love Kid's and Middle Grade Fiction sometimes....they over a great escape from other heavier reads, ya know? Happy reading! ^_^
