I'm North Bound! Anyone Live in PA, RI, NY? Need Info

Little Ol' me is headed to the Big Apple, RI and PA next Fri. So I need your help on where to go and not to go. We are taking a family Vaca for lil over 2 weeks.

I know I want to go see Strand Bookstore. I have seen nothing but good things about them. Anyone been to Strand? Are they expensive?

Anyone know of any maybe NOT so well known places as the Empire State Building that I should get a look at?? Good food? Good entertainment?

So I am hoping I won't feel like I'm in Where's Waldo but my own Addition Where's Liz? HEHE!

So here's a chance to win some swag. The first 2 people to send me an email telling where Waldo is I'll send you some swag.  US only! (click the pick to make it bigger)

Whhaaat Your gonna miss me?  Don't worry I have WIFI and My hubby's family have internet. I should have no problem updating. Sorry everyone. I know I just got back on track for leaving comments. I promise to keep trying while up there.

I'm not in NYC, but I'm near it. So I can't be much help. But I know on June 30, Heidi Kling is doing a signing with Angie Frasier and one other author at the Books of Wonder in NYC. Hope you can go!

I've never been to The Strand, but have heard it's VERY cheap. As in, ARCs for $1 cheap. Also, if you get the chance I highly recommend taking a trip to Books of Wonder. It's a great shop with wonderful employees!

Have a great trip! C:

I'll be in NYC on Saturday! It'll be my first trip to The Strand too. And I used to live in NY! If you can, make a trip out to Coney Island. Definitely worth it. Belevedere Castle in Central Park is nice, as is Strawberry Fields. Rockefeller Plaza, Times Square, Little Italy, The Village, East Village if you're a little punk. Astor Place, Union Square, Ground Zero Memorial.

Um... the wizard is in the bottom right corner. Does that count? LOL! I think Waldo MIGHT be lower, right-middle near a black pot?

Have a fun vacation, Liz! :-)

Can't wait to see you in NY! Send me an e-mail, maybe we can meet up ;)
How long are you spending in NY? If you want to pig out, there's a great ice cream place in Manhattan. It's called Screme. You can Google it, or find it in Madam Tusode's, if you know where that is. You better visit Times Square; it's lovely, especially at night. We've got some great shopping places there!
Wait. You were talking about more than books, right? There are some great book stores there, too. n downtown Brooklyn there's this great little bookstore on Court st. I've never really been there myself, but my father told me about it. It's tiny, but it's packed with books.
Enjoy your stay in NY!
