Skyler White, Wendy Toliver, Jen Nadol Shout Out (EED)

Today is Shout-Out Day. This means I will be giving a shout out to the Authors who have participated in the Birthday Phenomenon. They have all gone above and beyond to make this event happen. So what better way to thank them, then stopping by their sites!

(taken from her site)
Skyler White
Skyler White is the nationally bestselling author of dark fantasy novels and Falling, Fly (Berkley, March 2010) and In Dreams Begin (Berkley, November 2010).

The child of two college professors, I grew up in an environment of scholarship and academic rigor, so naturally left high school to pursue a career in ballet. I’ve been dancing around research and thinking through muscle cramps ever since. I have a master’s degree in theater and work experience in advertising. I have won awards as a stage director and appeared on reality TV. I am a sucker for paradox. I am mother to a tall red-headed athlete and a short blond Lego master. I’m married to a Mohawk-wearing inventor, and I live in Texas. I didn’t plan it that way, but I like it.

Wendy Toliver
Wendy Toliver earned her BA in Speech Communication/Broadcast from Colorado State University. She’s explored a variety of jobs, from impersonating Marilyn

Monroe for singing telegrams to impersonating a computer geek at an ad agency.
Now she calls Eden, Utah home and lives with her husband, three little boys, two dogs, cat, crab, and an occasional mole.

When not working on her next novel, Wendy enjoys reading, skiing, acting, traveling, volunteering, and shooting hoops.
Though she’s never been mistaken for a Siren, she has been mistaken for the Wendy’s hamburger girl.

I grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania, hometown of Taylor Swift, John Updike and A.S. King.I went to college at American University in Washington DC and graduated with a Lit degree which spent the next twelve years collecting dust while I worked in human resources for a national retail chain.
Now I live north of NYC in an old farmhouse with my husband and three young sons. I still love thrift stores, listen to just about anything from Mozart to My Chemical Romance, and have way too many favorite books to name.
THE MARK is my first novel.

I liked the sidebar on Skylar's website. I like how it lists all of her appearancese right there on the side.

On Wendy's website, I really liked her layout. It is very fun. I also like her Blogs and Things page where it listed all the different ways to follow what Wendy is doing.

On Jen's website, I liked her Contact page because you can send her a direct message right there!

I really love the color scheme on Skylar White's site, and any pertinent information is quick and easy to find on the sidebar.

I enjoyed the comments Wendy Toliver made on her FAQ's - and I want to hear the story about the white speedos!

Jen Nadol's site is easy to navigate and I like how the graphic on her home page is an illustration for her book's excerpt.

On Skylar White's site, what I liked most was reading about And Falling, Fly--I didn't think it sounded like quite my thing at first, but now it's on my list.

And the same goes for Secret Life of a Teenage Siren, at Wendy Toliver's site! another for my list...

And I liked entering the contest for a signed copy of the Mark at Jen Nadol's site! (cause I want to read that too!)

i love jen's homepage. i also love that she constantly updates her "what's up" section.

i love the entire look of wendy's website. it's just so cheerful and happy! i also liked that there was a separate navigation bar for her books.

i liked that skyler's website was easy to navigate. my favorite part of the site was the tattoo gallery, though. it was really interesting looking at all those tattoos!

I have to agree with some of the other comments, I loved reading about Flying, Fall. I've seen the cover around quite a bit but I wasn't sure if it was for me. Totally interested now! And I liked looking through the tattoo gallery too! While I'm personally not an ink person, my mum has a few and it's fun to look at others :D

I loved Wendy's "Not so FAQ" page, it was fun to read. I want to see a photo of her dressed up as Funshine Bear! :D And I really love the design, it's fun, trendy, awesome!

What FRUSTRATED me most about Jen's site is her photo. No, no, she's totally beautiful! But she reminds me of someone and for the life of me, I can't place who... *slaps brain* I love her "What's Up" page though. I follow her blog and love reading her updates. Can't wait to read The Mark!

Actually, I can't wait to read all of these books. I need more money *sigh*

Wendy's website is so cute! I love the color schemes and her sidebar!I love her answers to her "Not So F.A.Q"

I like Jen's website but it doesn't really fit well with her book. I found it too dark and...not fitting

Skylars site: Loved the look of the page, the colors and such.

Wendys site" I loved the Not so FAQ!

Jens site: I have to agree with the earlier entry about an easy contact page. Makes it so much easier to contact and author when it is easy to find and do!

First off, I love that Skyler calls herself a Word Witch! Her site sets the mood for her stories.

Wendy's site is fresh and light-easy to navigate! Should she be choosen Miss America-she has a platform I can get behind!

I like Jen's What's Up section. She has lots of links to other fantastic blogs too!

I like that Skyler's site is quite concise. One page for each book filled with information and an impressive media page (yes was taking notes!)

Wendy's site design brought to mind a tutti-frutti ice cream and her 'No So FAQ' page was a hoot!

I loved the rainy pic on Jen's splash screen and the whole severe grey of her blog design.

I love how Wendy's site looks so fun. Plus how shes named her FAQs 'Not so FAQs' haha! The cover of Lifted is also so cool.

Jen's site - the picture, right smack in the middle. It sets the tone really well.

I love Wendy's irreverent answers to the (not so) FAQs.

My favorite part about Skyler's site is her explanation of why she wrote the book that she wrote, which is on the "About Skyler" page. It's lovely.
