Perfect Chemistry may have been a story about star crossed lovers, but it wasn't your typical story line. I know you think you have read all these types of books? You are wrong. Simone Elkeles writes with severity, honesty and a tenderness that exudes through the character in her book.
Brittany may have been from the "right" side of the tracks but she didn't give a snobbish air about right and wrong side of the tracks. Alex may have been a bad boy but he was all heart. The end of the book shocked the heck out of me. As I was saying this book maybe a book that you think "If I have read one star-crossed lover book, Then I have read them all." I can honestly say you'd be wrong, This is a definite read.

i was given this book my first day as an intern at the publisher and I have to say, it is superb!! I have been anxiously awaiting for RULES OF ATTRACTION ever since and need to make time to get to the store!

Great review. I have read many many great things about this one. But I still cant decide if its the type of book for me.
I absolutely *adored* this book - such a breath of fresh air from the paranormal stuff (though I love the paranormal stuff, I'm even writing it!). But this book was just great...my copy of Rules of Attraction is on its very slow, agonizing way to Australia! LOL :D
I wanted to read this book since I read the first review about it. I hope I'll be lucky ;)

I've heard so many wonderful things about Simone's books and really hope I win them! I've heard they represent teenagers very accurately and are very emotional. They sound like they'd be a great thing to share amongst family members.

I totally agree with your review. I read this a couple of months ago and LOVED it! I loved that she wrote it from both Brittany and Alex's POV, gaining perspective from both of them was one of the things that made this story. I can't wait to read Rules of Attraction@
I am so torn on these two books. Romance like this isn't my typical type, but I can't tell you how many blogs I follow that are all singing praises about these books. So that means there must be something there, right? Your review is saying it's different, so I think I'm going to trust you and give this one a try.

i read perfect chemistry and did a review on it, too, and i'm glad you enjoyed it as much as i did! it's one of my favorites, and i loved everything about it. the characters, the story (!!!), the writing... everything was great. since i read it a few weeks ago, i couldn't stop babbling about it! hahaha. i just got rules of attraction, and i'm looking forward to reading it :)
I'm in need of a romantic type book but more on the younger side. :)
