Synopsis
Josie's never met her dad, and that's fine with her. To Josie, Paul Tucci is just a guy who got her mom pregnant and then moved away. It all happened sixteen years ago, when Josie's mom was still a teenager herself. But now Paul Tucci is back in town, and Josie has to deal with not one but two men in her life—her father and her first boyfriend, who Josie fears will hurt her just like Paul hurt her mother.
My Review
Josie's mother was left to raise her with only the help of her parents. Josie's relationship with her mother is picture perfect until her mom starts dating Mr. Jazz.(that's not really his name.) Clingy needy take all my mothers time Mr. Jazz. Josie's relationship with her mother was awesome. It felt comfortable and honest. One that I wish alot of kids could have with their parents. After seeing Paul Tucci's (Josie Biological father) parents Josie's can't seem to stop thinking about them. It doesn't help that Big Nick (Josie's Biological Grandfather) keeps dropping by were she works. Yet doesn't have a clue as to who she is. The book flowed so easily I finished this in one sitting. The twist in the book was a shocker and Josie's best-friend Liv was amazing. I loved her character. This is a definite read.

I loved your review! I definitely want to read this book now. I love twists in books :)
There's a twist? For Keeps just jumped up a few spots on my TBR. Great review!
This is in the mail for me!
Your review convinced me to read this one! :-)
Twists are my favorite! I'll definitely have to check this one out at my next library visit.
I LOVED this book! I agree w/you about Liv; usually I'm not a fan of YA best friends, but Friend did a great job w/Liv. She was a perfect foil to Josie!

That sounds a lot like me when I had my first child. Another book I want to read.
This sounds great, and it hits close to home.
Wow - awesome review! I've been curious about this book before, but now I'm definitely putting it on my wishlist!
I've seen this book around but this is the first review I've read. It sounds excellent. One for the TBR list.
I swear, you're going to send me broke with all these books you're forcing me to add to my wishlist ;) It's really nice to see that Josie has such a close relationship with her mother, as strong parent-child relationships aren't always so common in YA books. But it sounds great, have to read!
You know, I've never meet my father. I used to want to meet him but I'm not sad to have not known him. After all, you can't miss someone you've never meet before.
BUT. I have wondered what it'd have been like if we did ever have the chance to meet. I don't think I'd ever be in anything similar to Josie's situation, but I could probably relate. Guess I need to put this on the TBR list ;)
I totally misspelled 'met'. Sigh. Why do 'met' and 'meet' have to be so alike?
It sounds so devastatingly beautiful. I have to read this! Terrific review!
this sounds like something that cannot be missed, and i look forward to reading it :) i love bestfriends in books because they usually end up being such winning characters, so that's a definite plus.
I have heard about this one and each time I see it I want to read it more!
