Synopsis
A prodigal son
A dangerous love
A deadly secret . . .
I stood back and watched his movements. Daniel had that way about him that could shut me down in an instant. . . . I kicked the gravel a couple of times and worked up my courage again. “Tell me . . . I mean . . . why did you come back? Why now, after all this time?”Grace Divine, daughter of the local pastor, always knew something terrible happened the night Daniel Kalbi disappeared—the night she found her brother Jude collapsed on the porch, covered in blood. But she has no idea what a truly monstrous secret that night really held. And when Daniel returns three years later, Grace can no longer deny her attraction to him, despite promising Jude she’ll stay away.
As Grace gets closer to Daniel, her actions stir the ancient evil Daniel unleashed that horrific night. Grace must discover the truth behind Jude and Daniel's dark secret . . . and the cure that can save the ones she loves. But she may have to lay down the ultimate sacrifice to do it—her soul.
My Review
Grace it the perfect but can't compete with her brother Jude. Grace was going through life normal as can be until Daniel steps back into it. Can she trust Daniel? Forgive him? Her once normal life turns out to be nothing normal at all.
I loved the Characters in this book. I enjoyed the wholesome Grace Divine. I thought Jude's character had just the right touch to fit this book perfectly. Daniel's character was the typical bad-boy but at the same time he was nothing like ay other character I have read about. The history the characters had with each other really made the story come to life. The twists to the plot were clever and had me guessing the entire time. It took me no time to flip the pages to the end and it left me wanting more. Though I am unsure if this even needs a sequel but it did leave room for one. I really felt the love, passion, anger, hate in this book. It's definitely a worthwhile read.

I think that the storyline is original and it sounds like there is bad boy vs protective brother thing going on in the book. Very interesting.
