Sypnosis
There were no surprises in Gatlin County.
We were pretty much the epicenter of the middle of nowhere.
At least, that's what I thought.
Turns out, I couldn't have been more wrong.
There was a curse.
There was a girl.
And in the end, there was a grave.
Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of
Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When
In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.
My Review
A world turned upside down with one girl. Having the girl of your dreams become real is what happened to Ethan. Lena came into his life and he realized he wasn't meant to be like the rest of the locals. Falling in love should have been easy for them, but their love was forbidden. Doomed before their life time. The characters were so emotional and felt I knew them. Even Ethan's Best-Friend Link as blundering as he was. The book started off great then started to drag in the middle. I am not sure if it was a chance to feel the connection between Lena and Ethan. It picked back up towards the end. It left me with a few questions. Which I don't think will ever be answered. Even though this could be a series if the wanted it to be. Besides the dragging in the middle this is a great read. Who doesn't want to read about forbidden love. The plot to the story was unique unto itself.
I would recommend this to anyone.
